exposure
Sep 8, 2001

have there been any studies that determine how long of exposure one would need to be infected with hiv. for example, if a man inserted his penis into a woman's mouth, and assuming the worse case scenario - if there was blood in the mouth - how long of exposure time would be necessary? some say a 10-20 second exposure would be very low risk. if no data has been conducted on exposure time, could you speculate?

thank you.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

No data, and will not speculate.
