Facial neuropathy?
May 10, 1999

Ever hear of neuropathy extending across the bridge of the nose intermittently? I'm what's been referred to as the "worried well" and this recently developing symptom is the latest of many over the last few months including swollen hands and feet, initially; slight fever the first 3 weeks; itchy rash on the chest and upper abdomen; sore glands. HIV neg up to 9 months and PCR RNA undetectable at 3 months. Hadn't thought about HIV for the last couple of months in view of these results, but the numbness across the bridge of the nose has me wondering again. Also have occasional numbness in the hands and one foot. If this sounds like just more "worried well obsession", then no need to reply... Thanks

Response from Dr. Holodniy

Given the number and timing of HIV tests, you do not have HIV infection. MH
