| Antibody Screening vs Antibody Testing Dec 14, 1998 Hi Dr. I wrote you yesterday about Antibody testing but i may not have phrased it properly. Is Antibody screening the same as Antibody testing, could one test negative on Antibody screening and positive on Anibody testing? I hope i'm getting my question across clearly, thanks again in advance. |

It's hard to separate screening from testing. Screening usually refers to large testing programs. It also refers to perhaps an initial test, like an ELISA antibody test, which is then confirmed by a confirmatory test like a Western blot. MH | |||||||||
