GLANDS ......
Mar 5, 1999

THE GLANDS ASSOCIATED WITH HIV THAT AE UNDER THE ARMS WHERE ARE THEY? I MEAN, ARE THE LOCATED IN THE ARMPIT DEEP?OR TO THE SIDE LIKE BESIDE THE CHEST?IS IT NORMAL TO BE ABLE TO FEEL THEM AND NOTHING BE WRONG? DO YOU THINK RUBBING AND FEELING THEM OFTEN CAN IRRITATE AND CAUSE SLIGHT SWELLING? HMMMMM.....JUST WONDERING, THANKS.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

There are actually several groups of lymph nodes under the arm, and pretty much everywhere else (behind the elbow, neck, groin, etc). Rubbing would not increase their size (unlike other things). MH
