Dr., a few recent questions now have me concerned. Can you quickly delineate how great a concern incfected blood on fresh, possibly open, but not clearly bleeding cuts is? I realize it's a tough question, but just generally assess risk, please. Also, how much air contact do you believe will kill the disease?

That type of exposure would be considered low risk, but not no risk. There are no good numbers to go by. The virus will remain viable in fluid secretions as long as the material is moist. When it dries, it's dead. MH
