Sorry to hear you positive on life insurance screening.

Feb 10, 1999

I won't if you ask them what HIV tests that were use to screen your blood sample? I recently applied for life insurance and the following HIV tests were used to screen my blood sample, ELIZA, p24 antigen and Western blot. I was told these combination tests are very accurate. I am very sorry to hear your bad news. Good luck. Best of wishes.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

It does depend on what screening tests are used. MH
