A person who is NOT infected with HIV, should have NO virus and their viral load test should be UNDETECTABLE. A normal CD4 count ranges from 500-1500. "Acceptable" CD4 counts for those infected with HIV would be in the normal range. An undetectable viral load is the desired goal. This is usually accomplished using antiviral therapy, although a small subset of infected patients are able to contain the virus without drugs using their own immune system. MH | |||
