Conclusive Test
Jul 6, 2001

Dear Dr. Holodniy:

What would be a conclusive test to take six months after a possible exposure? I went through five antibody tests in 5 months and all came back non-reactive. The first three were done at the county health department and the last two at Quest Diagnostics through Specialized Testing. The last one was at 5 months after the possible exposure. But I still seem to be experiencing some symptoms. Kindly help me as I want to put this behind me and get on with life.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

No other kinds of tests would be anymore sensitive than antibody testing 6 months after exposure.
