G6PD Jul 9, 2000 Doctor, I have a G6PD deficiency,It has never bothered me, all I do is avoid certain medications I can't take. My question is with hiv+ what are the concerns regarding my deficiency, what should I look out for? thanks. |

 There is not to my knowledge any greater issues with HIV infection and G6PD deficiency other than the med issues as well. Staying away from meds like dapsone for PCP propylaxis is important. Make sure all your doctors know this. MH | ||||||||
