Rpr 1.2

Aug 25, 2018

I got syphilis before like almost 6 months already and it was treated with oral intake of antibiotic and it was cured already. Now, I got a test of 1.2 in RPR/VDRL. I undergo to penicilin G vacination. For 3 weeks.

What test should I take for me to confirm if I am still positive or negative already? Will I still get a negative result in a syphilis test? Please enlighten me.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

You don't indicate what the test result was prior to treatment. These tests will remain positive for months to years after successful treatment.
