Cyclospora in HIV patients greater concern?
Aug 4, 2018
Hearing about cyclospora in multiple food source areas I frequent (Trader Joe's, Walgreens, McDonald's) in the news lately, should I be particularly concerned as a person living with HIV? Living 24yrs with HIV. Stable cd4/cd8 ratio 0.7 (cd4 500s) and undetectable 10yrs. Currently on Biktarvy.
Response from Dr. Holodniy
I don't think the risk is any different, and avoidance of potentially contaminated foods is the most important thing to do.
