Syphilis

Dec 31, 2017

I HAVE tpha and vdrl test negative but TPPA test positive with 6.45 range. In that condition what can I do and after treatment tppa how long does remain positive.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

You don't indicate why these tests were obtained, whether you have signs or symptoms of syphilis infection, or whether you have received treatment for syphilis. These tests can remain positive for months to years after successful treatment. I suggest you discuss this with your doctor.
