I had Syphilis 30 years back and was treated with penicillin injection and was discharged. I just did a blood test recently and found that the TP Ab. RPR and TPPA result all reactive with the RPR titer at 1.32. I am worried kindly advise if I am still infectious.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

Syphilis test results can remain positive for months to years after successful treatment. You don't indicate why these tests were recently obtained, current risk factors, and whether any signs or symptoms of syphilis currently exist. I suggest you discuss these results with your doctor.
