High c reactive protein
Oct 29, 2017
Dear Dr. Holodnly,
I tested positive on April 20th. My last neg exams were on late February (Elisa 4th). On the 5th of June I run a c reactive protein lab test of 41. Mg/L. Right now, after three months of uninterrupted treatment (complera), should I still have my C Protein markers this high?
Thanks a lot.
My baseline tests were (19/05/2017) CD4 325 VL: 78800.
Response from Dr. Holodniy
Not sure why a c-reactive protein was ordered or being serially checked. In general, HIV infection does not result in these kinds of levels. Other medical or inflammatory conditions may be coexistent and could require additional workup.
