syphilis cured or not?

Oct 14, 2017

Probably i was infected with syphilis in 2003.i got tested RPR negative in 2011 and 2012.Tested VDRL nonreactive in 2014.Tested VDRL reactive and TPHA(ELISA) 80 in march 2016.Got treatment with 3 doses of penicillin in three weeks.Last injection was in 15 july2016.In sept.2016 i tested VDRL reactive and TPHA 80. Tested VDRL negative at 1:8 in oct.2016.Tested VDRL nonreactive at 1:1,1:2,1:4,1:8,1:16 and 1:32 in june 2017. Am i cured of syphilis?

Response from Dr. Holodniy

Those are all positive and reactive results and not nonreactive results. It is not clear whether all those VDRL test results are from June 2017 and why all those tests would have been performed. The ELISA and VDRL can remain positive for months to years after successful treatment. I suggest though that you consult with an infectious disease to determine your status and interpret all those results.
