STRESSED!!!

May 12, 2001

Dear Dr.Holodniy,

Im a hetreosexual male and i had unprotected sex five years ago with a female. That was my first time ever to have sex and since then i didnt engage in any sexual activity. My question is, i had no symptoms so should i get tested even though i didnt ejaculate inside and one of my friends tested negative after sleeping unprotected with the same female?

Thank you and please please please answer me back.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

If you think you were at risk, then you should be tested. Many people do not have, or cannot remember whether they had symptoms, and even if they did, symptoms could reflect other medical conditions that could have been happening with exposure.
