My 7 year old nephew just tested positive for HIV, but he doesn't have any symptoms and his CD4 is over 800. Today he started on 1 Septrin per day. Is there a chance that he might start having symptoms?

There is a lot of information missing (CD4%, viral load, why he was diagnosed at 7, etc) so it is difficult to comment. In general that is a relatively good CD4 count for a 7 year old, and I would not expect there to be much if any symptoms at this point. It is also difficult to predict what may happen, because if the decision to start HIV meds is made, then the likelihood of symptoms developing because of HIV infection will be very low.
