HIV MEDS AND YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION INJECTION

hie doc i hope this finds you well .i am hiv+ and will be travelling to tanzania am currently on tenolam and nevirapine and doing well as my last test was undetectable now i need to get the yellow fever injection does it have any known side effects on us living with hiv

Tanzania is currently on the low risk list of countries and vaccination is not required. That said, the vaccine can be given to HIV infected people with CD4 counts > 200 or > 15%. Reactions are generally mild and include flu-like symptoms for a few days. Very rarely neurologic complications can occur, but it is not clear whether HIV infected people are at greater risk for these or not.
