|5 yr old HIV positive girl
Aug 18, 2013
I have adopted a little girl at 3 months old in India, where we still live. She was tested and found to be positive.....Eliza test and wb. Both at 3 months, 6 months and 2 yrs. DNA pcr test at 3 and 6 months showed positive for HIV. She started ART and subsequent tests over past 5 years showed normal cd4 counts and undetectable viral loads. Recently, last month, we had an Eliza test done and it was negative? Dr was confused and ordered DNA pcr test. What can I expect and what does it mean if this test comes back negative?

I am not sure why you are checking HIV antibody tests now, when prior antibody and HIV DNA tests were repeatedly positive previously.
