low MCHC/high RDW indications of HIV
Aug 4, 2013
Had complete blood work done and MCHC level is 318 and flagged as low. RDW level is 14.6 and flagged as high. Can these be indicators of HIV or other issue. My concern comes from recent news that a former partner, 3yrs since the relationship ended, has been diagnosed HIV positive. I am concerned due to not knowing when he became infected.

These are very nonspecific findings which could result from many medical conditions. If you were at risk then you need to be tested for HIV infection.
