Vitamin D follow up Questions
Jun 9, 2013

I submitted a question about my vitamin d levels a while ago because I'm totally confused about it, but you needed more information for a response.

I have it now. My last labs from 04/25/13 showed Vitamin D, 25-OH, Total 36 ng/ml; Vitamin D, 25-OH, D3 36 ng/ml; and Vitamin D, 25-OH, D2 <4 ng/ml.

What does all of this mean? Are these levels healthy or should I consider increasing the amount of Vitamin D supplements that I take. I take 4,000IU of Vitamin D3 daily because last time my vitamin D level was 29, so it's gone up now. What is your opinion.

Thank you.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

Your level is in the normal range now. So I don't think you need to increase your supplement.
