low viral load with high cd 4 count
Jun 8, 2013

on complera for 12 months, last three viral loads (january, april and may) 104, 116 and 132 and cd4 consistently over 600. They couldn't do resistance testing due to viral load less than 500. Does it mean I am failing complera and should change? previous resistance was clear of resistance.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

You don't indicate what your starting HIV viral load was prior to starting complera. Fewer people with viral loads > 100,000 are able to get to undetectable viral loads with complera compared to other regimens. You may want to consider changing the regimen at this point.
