Cold hands/feet numbness in periphery
May 5, 2013
I have HIV, my hands and feet get very cold and start aching. My capillary refill time is within 2 sec. i have 2+ pedal pulses. but my feet and hands are freezing. I've also noticed that when i am sleeping i can not stay in more than one position too long or its like my arm or leg "goes dead or numb". sometimes When i wake up it takes my arm a long time to start working again. I havent started treatment yet, but i was wondering what you thought. my last labs, a few years ago revealed slightly low platelets. i havent had any since then.

Sounds like it's time for a check-up to see what is going on. Your symptoms could be the result of many medical conditions, although are unlikely to be the result of HIV infection alone.
