| RPR 1:16 But non reactive in TPHA Dec 30, 2012 Hi doc, I just want to ask you something help diagnose my case. I was tested in VDRL last october 2012 reactive in RPR 1:16 but non reactive in confirmatory TPHA and until now december 2012 may RPR still reactive. can you please give me medicine so i can buy to treatment my case. thank you |

The negative TPHA would be unusual with an RPR titer of 1:16. Given that a repeat RPR is still positive, it most likely means syphilis infection is real and not a false positive test. This would need to be treated with intramuscular penicillin, which your doctor who is obtaining these tests can prescribe. | |||||||||
