| What type of test should I have done to know if I have HIV Nov 10, 2012 Hello, I was recently told at a plasma center that I might have contracted HIV, as much as I was in shock I remained optimistic because I have no symptoms (i.e. toe nail discoloration, warts on my mouth, armpits, or genitalia, fever,etc..) She told that they dont test at that site but get the blood sent off. Dr. Holodnity, how accurate are those test? is there a possibility that my blood got mixed-up with somebody else's? And when I go to the clinic to get tested what type of test should I ask for? |

HIV testing today is very accurate. The results will determine what your status is. | |||||||||
