Dear dr thank u for taking ur time. im 27yo hiv pos n hpv. i saw my anal dysplasia a month ago n she diagnosed me with AIN3 precancer. she referred me to a colorectal department to have a surgery dine to removed anal warts. my question is anal warts dyspkasia. Ny dr she doesnt seems to worry alot. am i going to develop anal cancer. im so scare. I ask another dr n she says dont worry coz i wont get anal cancer. can u expkain whatz goibg on beetween dysplasia n anal warts.

AIN3 would be considered a precancerous lesion, but it can progress to cancer if not attended to. Anal warts are usually related to human papilloma virus (HPV) infection. There are several types of HPV, and some types are more likely to cause precancerous or cancerous lesions than others.
