| Swollen glands for many months after infection Jul 29, 2012 Hello Doctor - Thank you so much for all the information that is available to us on this site! I've learned a lot. However I have a concern that I can't find the answer for it. I was infected 7 months ago. Had the acute infection symptoms 4 weeks after, and was just confirmed tested positive last week. Ever since my acute inf.symptoms I've had lots of pain and swollen lymph glands all over my body, and they can't seem to go away. As a matter of fact, the past two days I even got swollen tongue and under my jaw. My next appointment with my doctor for tests is only 4 weeks away, and I am so tense worrying about other serious problems that my body may be developing because of all these swollen glands. I read a lot about lymphoma and cancers and I can't rest while I don't get my tests done again. -- Is it normal to have swollen glands after infection, even after months? Thank you for your answers |
