| Should I be on Meds Jun 23, 2012 Tested Poz on 05/06/12 and had first blood draw on 05/17/12. Got results on 06/14/12 Cdf is 697 and viral load is 5700. I am getting adivse to start meds to get my vl down to undetedctable. Dr advised mr not needed. Thanks Newly Poz |

Given that your CD4 count is in the normal range and your viral load is low, there is no urgency to start HIV meds. Given your numbers, many experts would suggest waiting to start, whereas others would say that you should start to get the virus under control and preserve your immune system function. | |||||||||
