i recently came to know that i am hbsag positive,but i have taken vaccination 3 years before and iam a medical student.then my hbeag is negative , hbeag antibodies are positive, hbv dna is 2900IU/ml

Assuming you had all 3 injections of HBV vaccine, did you have evidence of a positive HBsAb afterwards? Was a HBsAg test ever performed prior to HBV vaccination? Assuming that you had not been exposed to HBV prior to vaccination, infection can occur in some people who only developed partial immunity, or with a vaccine escape mutant, which have been well described. Your HBV viral load is low, and many liver specialists would defer treatment unless other testing indicates that treatment is indicated.
