| can stress increase viral load? Mar 25, 2012 Can stress have a negative effect on your viral load? I am taking my medication on time and have been practicing safe sex. I have been taking my ARVs for seven years. My viral load has been undetectable for a long time now. Went for a test last week and my viral load stands at 241. Do I need to worry? |

Response from Dr. Holodniy
We don't really have a good answer to this question, as the definition of what is stress for one person may not be the same for another. So it is hard to quantify what stress means and correlate that with viral load changes. Given the amount of time your viral load has been undetectable, I would not be concerned with that blip. | |||||||||
