Understanding HepB test reslults

Sep 25, 2011

My first test I tested HBsAG positive HBsAB non reactive HBcAB non reactive

My second round of testing HBeAG non reactive HBeAB non reactive HBV DNA IU/ML <29 HBV LOAD <169 copies/ml

Could I have some insight on what this might mean for me. From what I am gathering on my own from internet research I am thinking I am an inactive carrier with a chronic infection?

Response from Dr. Holodniy

Your assessment is correct. Because the HBsAg is positive, the antibody and HBV DNA tests are negative, you have a low level chronic infection.

Night sweats and insomnia
