2 blips in sucession
Jul 9, 2011

hi,

my most recent labs show the following: Dec 2010 VL UD, CD4 1056 Apr 2011 VL 56, CD4 1053 May 2011 VL 116 CD4 1300

I have been on Atripla since April 2009 and my adherence is close to perfect. The most recent numbers are confusing me because my CD4 has increased but so has my VL - is it possible that I have become resistant to one of the 3 drugs in atripla?

Response from Dr. Holodniy

Although it's possible, I think it's unlikely and I believe those are just blips related to assay issues and not resistance.
