Regarding HBS Ag

Mar 13, 2011

I have HBS Ag CO1: 435.0 Reactive. In the liver function test everything normal except SGOT was 47 lu/L, and SGPT 51 lu/L

Took one tab each of Lamivir HBV and Ursodic 250 daily for 2 months. Following tests were done later: HBe Ag is negative Hbv Dna PCR (quantitative) is negative ALT/SGPT is normal HB A1c is 8.3% Would you please advise your diagnosis and prescriptions

Response from Dr. Holodniy

It's hard to say. What were you told by the liver specialist was the indication for taking lamivir? It is difficult to conclude what those test results mean without more information, particularly what all the test results were before starting therapy. I suggest you go back to the physician that prescribed the medications and ask.
