Response from Dr. Holodniy
There are warnings against using stocrim during pregnancy because of the possible increased risk of birth defects or spontaneous abortion during the first trimester while taking the drug. New information this year from several published studies indicates that the risk of birth defects appears to be no greater in women who took stocrim during the first trimester compared to women who did not. How such evidence will be used in the future regarding any recommendations for use of this drug in pregnancy remains to be seen. | |||||||||
