cd4 and viral loads
Aug 22, 2010

my cd4 count is 954 and my viral load is 98,000. What does this mean? why are they both high? 3 months ago my cd4 count was 750 and my viral loads were 100,000+. y did my cd4 get better while my viral load is still high? Should i be worried?

Response from Dr. Holodniy

Those are likely not significant changes in either the CD4 count or viral load. Although your CD4 count is in the normal range now, your viral load is high. With those kinds of viral load levels, your CD4 will not remain at these levels indefinitely.
