| 10 copies? Apr 29, 2001 Is the most sensitive DNA PCR test on the market today the one that reads down to 10 copies? What is the liklihood of a false negative on that test if it's taken after the 4 and 8 week periods? |

I would not know what the most sensitive test on the market is for HIV acute infection. You must also be careful of claims by laboratories about the performance of these tests. The likelihood of a false negative PCR test after 8 weeks is exceedingly low. | |||||||||
