| Thanks and question Apr 29, 2001 First of all doctor: I would like to thank you and share my admiration of you and of the site: I have learned invaluable information from this forum and from questions posted by others. Thank you so much for your time, help, and kindness. I am wondering one thing about DNA by PCR testing. Does one need to be symptomatic for the test to be accurate? In other words, if one tested at 30 days (when non-symptomatic) and become symptomatic in following weeks - would another test be necessary or do symptoms have no bearing on its accuracy? Thanks again and looking forward to reading your answer. |

Symptoms do not affect the accuracy of the test. | |||
