|my cd4 count and viral load

hi there i was infected 2 months ago and i have just got my cd4 and viral load can you tell me if these are good numbers my viral load is 575,055 and my cd4 count is 800 my Dr has not yet told me if i should start medication can you fill me in as i am a little worried

Well your CD4 count is in the normal range (500-1500), so that's good, but your viral load is quite high. If you were truly infected 2 months ago, that high viral load could be reflective of acute infection and could come down to some lower level in the next few months without HIV treatment. Many HIV experts would wait and not start treatment during the acute infection period, whereas some would start meds. You need to discuss the pros and cons of this decision with your doctor.
