| numbness Jan 17, 2010 Dear experts, I am emailing from Venezuela. I was diagnosed with HIV in 2007, so far I have not started treatment since my cd4 count has remained above 500. Recently I have been feeling weird, I cant say sick just weird, I feel the left side of my whole body is asleep. I first thought it was because of my diabetes but sugar is not that high 120, my cholesterol is also normal. So I think this symptom is related to hiv infection. I live in the country side and I have no access to infectious desease doctors so please my question is: What tests should I present to my doctor in town when I reach there. I dont have the means to afford a week visit so I would like to do all the tests that he may need so that I can walg with them and avoid waste of time an money. I havent check my viral load, not ever. and I read that regardless of the cd4 count I may need treatment, I am dibetic. Please help me |

Your condition is difficult to assess let alone recommend various tests or a workup based on your description. Perhaps seeing a neurologists (nerve doctor) would be the best approach. | ||||||||||
