boosting CD4 count naturally
Jan 10, 2010
I tested positive recently. How can I increase/boost my CD4 count naturally? CD4 count was 480
Response from Dr. Holodniy
The normal range for CD4 count in people without HIV infection is 500-1500. We usually don't know what people's CD4 count was before HIV infection. So it is conceivable that your CD4 count was at the low normal range, and therefore you are not far from where you started. You also don't indicate what your CD4% and HIV viral load is, which could also be factors in whether HIV treatment is indicated now or not. There are not a lot of things that have been shown in randomized trials to consistently and successfully increase CD4 counts, except HIV medications.
