| Child's first detectable result and low neutrophil count Nov 7, 2009 Hello! My daughter has lived with me from the age of 3 1/2 until now at age 8. She has always been undectable. Yesterday we went for her three month and they told us her numbers from her last visit, three months prior, were 260 viral load. She also has low neutrophil in the 710s. She has had low neutrophil previously and one med was changed in June due to this. Ideas? Should I be worried about the viral load??? Thanks! |

Response from Dr. Holodniy
You don't specifically say whether she is on HIV meds. Assuming that she is, and is taking the meds regularly as prescribed, then I am not concerned. This is likely just a blip, and will almost certainly return to undetectable levels on the next visit. | |||||||||
