| How often should your labs be run Nov 7, 2009 I was just diagnosed, with my last negative test in June of this year, so definately caught within 5 months or so of infection. However, I had unexplainable hives for one day about two weeks prior to my positive test but no other symptoms, so I think that was the point at which I was seroconverting. So, in all likelyhood my first blood draw for labs was within 1 month of infection. My Cd4's were 1148 and my VL 9K. My doctor doesn't want to run labs again for 3 months. I asked if VL could dramatically increase, especially if I was just infected, and if labs should be run sooner. He didn't think so. How about you? |

I agree with your doctor. Your CD4 count is in the normal range and your viral load is relatively low. You don't currently need HIV treatment and getting your numbers again in 3 months is jut fine. | ||||||||||
