Response from Dr. Holodniy

If you are getting a CD4 count every 3 that is perfectly fine. It would be helpful to know what your viral load is and to follow the viral load while you are receiving HIV treatment. However, you can determine whether you need treatment or not primarily based on the CD4 count. If your CD4 count is < 350, then HIV treatment is recommended and if it is < 200, the HIV treatment is required.
