| False Positives Oct 31, 2009 My 17 year old daughter recently tested positive on the Elisa, and the Western Blot (same sample). CD4 is 1100, BUT her HIV RNA test came back negative. She has had flu like symtoms for the past 3 months, which warranted the testing. They asked us to have repeat tests along with a SED rate test. Could this be something other than an HIV infection? |

Response from Dr. Holodniy
Unlikely. But you certainly can retest with a different sample to see if the results are the same. | ||||||||||
