I just got my new lab numbers. Im 27 and have been poz for about 5 years. I have never been on meds. My cd4 count rose from 294 to 462 in 3 months, my viral load stayed basically the same around 27,000 rising only slightly. My doctor hasnt put me on meds yet based on my new labs. Is this a good improvement to not be on meds yet? I was very relieved to get these new numbers.

Another number you need to follow is the CD4%. Although it may be good news that your CD4 count has increased, the CD4 count can vary for a variety of reasons, while the CD4% is a more stable number over time. It would be unlikely to see your CD4 count really increase by that much in the absence of HIV treatment. I suspect that your CD4% did not change. You don't indicate what your CD4 count has been over the last couple of years. If you have been staying at about 300, then I would consider starting treatment.
