What's a good testosterone level for HIV+
Sep 26, 2009

Hello Doctor. My HIV specialist ran a testosterone test on me and it came out 5.02 ng/mL Is that OK or what? I'm 52. Thank you!!

Response from Dr. Holodniy

A normal testosterone level is between 250-800 ng/dL. Some HIV experts advocate levels of 500-1000 in HIV infected men. If your units are correct (ng/mL), then that would translate to 502 ng/dL which is right in the normal range.
