| Sealing or wrapping hiv particles Sep 6, 2009 Just curious to know why there are no attempts to block the virions physically by sealing them inside a barrier. I mean like putting an apple in a pocket and seal it up. The spikes covered by a substance shouldn't be no more able to insert the virion inside the cell. Just an idea. |

It's an interesting thought. Even if you could devise some method to wrap the circulating viral particles, you are still left with the portion of virus that is integrated into the human genome in each infected cell which would not be subject to such a strategy and would continue to produce new viral particles. | |||||||||
