Test recommendations? May 17, 2009 52 yo m, 2 yrs. on HAART, totally adherent, cd4 80, hiv undetectable, on last few weeks of HCV interferon/ribavirin therapy, having cleared HCV at wk 6 from v. high HCV load 9.5 million (geno 2b). Besides PSA and colonoscopy, which I never had, can you recommend any other tests for an HIVer like me? Thank you!! |

 Sounds like you are plugged into the system pretty well, and I assume your doctors have been doing the appropriate screenings all along. Other tests include screening for diabetes, lipid and cardiovascular disorders. I also assume that you are up to date on all your immunizations to protect you from other infections (particularly hepatitis B and A viruses). | ||||||||
