| How to study for your lab test Apr 26, 2009 I will be having my second lab test on May 18th. Found out about my status on Feb 13th (Friday the 13th go figure). Anyway I wanted to find out if there is anything food or execrise leading up to my lab on the 18th that I can do to get the most accurate results good or bad. I have read that some foods and supplements can affect an accurate result. I assume a good nights sleep but should I fast in the morning and should I take my meds at the normal time which is about 2 hours before my lab work. |

I would not do anything special prior to getting the lab tests, except for if you are getting a lipid profile done, then you should fast from midnight until you have the test. Medication dosing should not affect the tests. | ||||||||||
