| CD4 Mar 22, 2009 My spouse is hiv he is getting treatment but yesterday we got the news that his cd4 is not going it was 109 and now is 79 but his virus is unditectable but now the doctor wants him to use this and additional medicine to bring up this cd 4 is this the correct approach and how fast can the cd 4 come up ? |

It may very well be the correct approach. Another number to watch is the CD4%. This is a more stable number over time and may take longer to increase, as the absolute CD4 count is more subject to variability. It is very good news that the viral load is undetectable, and I am certain the CD4 count and percent will increase over the next several weeks. | ||||||||||
